NEW YORK (March 24, 2016) – “Retail Technology’s Leading Lady” Deborah Weinswig will offer her unique perspective on the effects of the global economy on local retail when she discusses “From Wall Street to Main Street,” on Thursday, April 14th from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the prestigious Global Retailing Conference, to be held April 13th through 15th at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Ariz.
Weinswig, Managing Director of Fung Global Retail & Technology (FGRT) joins other retail innovators and designers in discussing ground-breaking ideas and techniques to help industry professionals succeed.
“The Global Retailing Conference is a truly unique gathering, where some of the greatest minds in retail look to the future, and I’m thrilled to be in that company,” says Weinswig. “Just as important to me is its sponsorship by the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing, which is educating the retail leaders of tomorrow.”
The conference is supported by the Terry J. Lundgren Center’s Corporate Advisory Board, to which Weinswig was appointed in June 2015. Named for University of Arizona alumnus Terry J. Lundgren, Chairman and CEO of Macy’s Inc., the Lundgren Center joins academia and retail to educate the next generation of retail leaders. The Conference invites the audience to listen in on discussions with industry luminaries, moderated by Lundgren, and attracts global participation from retailers across all levels of industry operations, academicians, and university students interested in first-hand knowledge about industry challenges and opportunities. Previous speakers have included such luminaries as Martha Stewart, Founder of Martha Stewart Omnimedia; Tory Burch, CEO and designer of Tory Burch LLC; Tommy Hilfiger, Designer and Founder, Tommy Hilfiger Corp.; and Vera Wang, Designer and Founder, Vera Wang Corp.
